The Aegean Speed ​​Lines was founded in 2005 in collaboration with the Eugenides Group of Companies and Group Companies British Sea Containers. It is the first Greek company launched in our coastal ships flying the flag, the SPEEDRUNNER I, in the release of ferry services in our country.

          In 2006, Aegean Speed ​​Lines changed its shareholders Retirement composition of Sea Containers and the company entered a large Greek business group and the group Eugenides maintained its significant share holding. Both shareholders Aegean Speed ​​Lines consider the Greek domestic market as a sector of the Greek economy with high prospects.

          This new alliance provided Aegean Speed ​​Lines new enhanced dynamics.

          Currently, Aegean Speed ​​Lines is one of the fastest developing companies in the industry with the main feature of the care for the needs of passengers and the modern development of the islands.

          With this aim the Aegean Speed ​​Lines covers the establishment of the transport needs of the Western Cyclades, and firmly believes that by offering transportation solutions is crucial for growth and prosperity of all residents of the islands.           Since 2009, except route Piraeus-Western Cyclades (Serifos, Sifnos, Milos, Kimolos, Folegandros), the vessels of Aegean Speed ​​Lines serve the route Piraeus-Syros-Tinos-Mykonos, Piraeus-Ios-Sikinos and Thera- in 2010 extended the route Piraeus-Paros-Naxos.

           In December 2009, our company only 5 years since its inception received the award from the Lloyds List, characterized as "the best shipping company of the year for the commitment, the commitment and dedication to providing high quality services."
